  2. Recognize threats to our relevancy in the hearing healthcare industry.
  3. Implement patient-centered audiology practices to provide better hearing to more people who need it.

Description:

Audiologists provide something nobody wants for a problem no one wants to admit. While our mission is to help patients hear better, we help less than 35% of those with hearing loss.  We are ill-prepared to motivate patients to positively change their hearing-related behaviors. We face numerous threats: healthcare consolidation; direct-to-consumer markets; and Washington DC.  We must elevate our profession and prove our relevancy. Learn how audiologists using patient-centered audiology can affect positive change and increase treatment rates.
