AAA 2019: Billing and Coding: Cracking the Code and Understanding Medicare Requirements
Recorded at AAA 2019, Wednesday, March 27, 2019
Presenter: Debbie Abel, AuD
CEUs: 0.1
Instructional Level: Fundamental
Description: Coding for audiology services is confusing and unlike other health care coding, especially when it comes to Medicare regulations. With a solid understanding of these skills as well as those for proper documentation, you can help more patients, remove that unnecessary paperwork, and avoid leaving revenues on the table.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the three coding systems necessary to bill all audiology services.
- List essential documentation necessary for compliance, reporting purposes and potential audits.
- Describe Medicare regulations specific to audiologists.
